In this monthly girls group we will make all kinds of crafts while getting to know each other. Make projects such as jewelry, mosaics, holiday cards and fiber arts. Your instructor Marian Kaslovsky is a Recreation Therapist and former art teacher. We hope to facilitate friendships for girls with similar interests and will play get-to-know-you games and practice conversation skills.

Here’s an opportunity to learn fun ways to assist your young child with special needs in the water. This class will include stroke development, water games and water exercises. Small group size will assure that each parent/child team will get some individualized instruction. CAP workers may come in place of parents. Neither needs to know how to swim to participate in this class.

Being part of a group that shares common life experiences can be supportive, empowering and freeing. Get connected and develop an actor’s capacity for storytelling and self-expression. Play roles, tell stories and be spontaneous. Instructor Amy Elliott creates a safe, relaxed and enjoyable group molded to the needs and interests of you the participant. You’ll have the opportunity to explore and experiment with other expressive arts, such as photography, poetry, music and journaling. Individual interests and comfort levels will be respected. No prior acting or arts experience is necessary. Decades of research and studies on approaches that help veterans live more holistic and fulfilling lives indicates that, healing is expedited when some form of creative expression is used. No arts experience required.
Amy Elliott is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, a Drama Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor. Her doctoral degree from NYU is in Performance Studies. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org .

Volunteers will be on hand to help riders practice and help parents and other care givers learn how to help teach bike riding. Learn about bike safety and navigate a bike safety course. See the latest in adaptive bikes and get assistance from the Recyclery in checking your bike for safety. Play games, get your face painted, have fun!

Teens and young adults with mild to moderate disability can enjoy an evening of games and socializing. During this casual early evening program, we’ll play board games, a few active games and sometimes we’ll play on the Wii. Bring other games that you’d like to play. Together, we’ll order pizza for those who want to chip in (No $10’s or $20’s please, only smaller bills). Bring your own dinner if you prefer.
