    For children and teens with disabilities who are beginner or advanced-beginner swimmers. Emphasis will be individualized: developing confidence and independence in the water, stroke development, water safety, etc. Volunteers or parents will assist participants in practicing what the instructor teaches. As you register, let us know whether you will swim with your child or if you would like us to find a volunteer to swim.

    Fall into fitness! Certified fitness instructor, Wanda Brown, specializes in helping adults with developmental disabilities to meet their fitness goals. Workout sessions will begin with an energetic dance cardio session, followed by stretching, strength training and stress relieving yoga and Pilates moves. Modifications for all abilities will be provided based on individual needs.

    Acting out social scenes and stories supports the development of self-expression using the body, emotions and creativity. The skills used in acting - taking another's perspective, picking up on social cues and formulating language are effective ways to increase social thinking and self-expression. Actors share their interests with peers and contribute their ideas in creating either improvised scenes or performing short plays.
    Ages 6-12 will engage in interactive drama games and act out make-believe stories and folk tales. Actors are welcome to bring their favorite objects and costumes to class.

    Acting out social scenes and stories supports the development of self-expression using the body, emotions, and creativity. The skills used in acting taking another’s perspective, picking up on social cues, and formulating language are effective ways to increase social awareness and competence. In Acting is Awesome!, young people will share their interests with peers, and contribute their ideas in creating either improvised scenes or by performing short plays.
    Ages 13 to 19 will engage in theater games to form a creative, lively group that acts out characters, scenes and stories based on ideas and interests that come from group members. The teen group has been performing short plays they write together, based on popular culture movie and games.

Numerous fun activities to satisfy the needs of kids with sensory processing issues. For families with a child with special needs/disabilities, siblings, friends and more. Play until you're done-no need to stay for the whole session. An adult family member or caretaker must stay and play.
